At last, my Bihun sup ready to eat. Let's eat while it is still hot. Yummy.
Ingredients:
10 shallots
10 garlics
1/2 inch ginger
2 cinnamon stick
3 cardamom
4 cloves
3 star anise
3 tablespoon Soup powder mix
1/2 kg beef cut into cubes
2 l water
Asian celery leave
Scallion
3 tablespoon oil
Method:
- Boil the beef with 1 liter of water together with 1 cinnamon stick until cooked.
- Meanwhile mince shallots, garlics and ginger.
- In another pot, heat up the oil and pour all the spices in (cinnamon,cardamoms,cloves & star anise) for a while.
- Pour in minced shallots,garlics and ginger and stir until yellowish color.
- Pour in the cooked beef with the stock in the pot.
- Pour in the balance 1 liter of water and bring it to boil.
- Mince the Asian celery leave and scallion and pour half into the pot. The rest will be use as garnishing.
- Boil the rice vermicelli for 1 minute and toss the water.
- Ready to serve.
