My very own Pavlova

My first attempt to bake a Pavlova and it's the result is not that bad. Hihi. Only two kind of fruits used. Since I'm unable to find the strawberries at TESCO. Sold out. Pheww. Perhaps the presentation quite dull since the colors made of white green and dark blue.

Mashed Potatoes and Gravy Recipe

Ingredients:

Potatoes (Any kind)
2 sticks Celery (Minced)
1 holland onion (Minced)
50g fresh milk
2 chicken cubes
20 grams butter
 1 tablespoon All purpose flour
1 tablespoon tomato ketchup
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
Salt to taste
Pepper
Water

Method:

Peel off the skin and boil the potatoes until tender
Mashed the potatoes.
Mix the mashed potatoes with milk and add some salt.



Chicken stock:
In a saucepan, boil the minced celery and onion.
Put in the chicken cubes and bring to boil.
Simmer for a while.

Gravy:
Heat butter till it melts, add in the flour ans stir well over low heat.
Add in the chicken stocks gradually and bring to boil.
Mix in the rest of the ingredients and simmer until gravy is thick.

Lady in Red?


This is the red velvet cake ordered by our customer today. Manage to complete it on time. Hope they like it.

My Sizzling Yee Mee Recipe

Ingredients:

5 clove of garlic (minced)
1 inch ginger (minced)
5 pieces of chicken (any parts)
10 tablespoon of oyster sauce
4 tablespoon dark soy sauce
3 tablespoon light soy sauce
2 teaspoon white vinegar
3 teaspoon sesame oil
3 tablespoon corn flour
4 cups of water
Dried Shitake mushroom (Soak and cut)
Yee Mee (soak in hot water and toss)

Method:


  • Preheat the oil in the saucepot. Put in the minced garlic and ginger and stir for a while.
  • Put in the chickens and let it cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Pour in the oyster sauce, dark and light soy sauce and stir for a while.
  • Pour in the water and stir it until it is well mixed.
  • Put in the vinegar and sesame oil and stir.
  • Put in the soaked mushrooms.
  • Let it cook for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Ready to eat.

Trip to Bukit Malawati, Kuala Selangor (Jalan-jalan di Bukit Malawati, Kuala Selangor)
